What Is Bulk AdBlue?

Australia's Most Cost-Effective AdBlue Format

Bulk AdBlue is ISO 22241-certified Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) delivered by road tanker directly into your on-site storage tank. It is the most cost-effective AdBlue supply solution available for operations that consume 10,000 litres or more per month.

AdBlue is a 32.5% aqueous urea solution used by all Euro 5 and Euro 6 diesel engines equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. It reduces harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by up to 90%, and is a legal compliance requirement for all modern diesel vehicles and machinery operating in Australia.

Bauly Chemicals supplies bulk AdBlue manufactured in VDA-licensed Australian factories under strict ISO 22241 quality control — guaranteeing the precise urea concentration and purity required to protect your SCR systems and maintain engine compliance.

Why Choose Bulk?

Six Reasons to Switch to Bulk AdBlue

For operations consuming more than 5,000 litres per month, bulk tanker delivery is significantly more cost-effective and operationally efficient than drum or IBC supply.

01

Lowest Cost Per Litre

Bulk tanker delivery consistently delivers the lowest cost-per-litre of any AdBlue supply format. Volume-based pricing means the more you consume, the more you save — particularly significant for transport fleets and mine sites with high monthly consumption.

02

Eliminate Manual Handling

No more moving drums and IBCs around your yard. Bulk delivery goes directly into your storage tank via tanker pump — reducing labour costs, workplace handling risks, and container disposal requirements entirely.

03

Scheduled Supply Programs

Set up a recurring scheduled delivery program and never think about AdBlue supply again. We monitor your consumption pattern and ensure your tank is replenished before it runs low — zero administration for your team.

04

ISO 22241 Quality Guaranteed

Every litre we deliver is manufactured in VDA-licensed Australian factories to ISO 22241 — the same stringent quality standard regardless of volume. Certificate of Analysis available on request for every delivery batch.

05

60M+ Litre Supply Capacity

With annual supply capacity exceeding 60 million litres, Bauly Chemicals can meet large-volume commitments without supply interruption. No allocation limits, no back-order risk — your supply continuity is guaranteed.

06

Self-Bunded Tank Compatible

Bulk AdBlue delivery is perfectly suited for HDPE and 316L stainless steel self-bunded storage tank systems. Our tankers are equipped to pump off into any compliant on-site storage configuration.

Storage & Handling

Bulk AdBlue Storage Requirements

To receive bulk AdBlue tanker delivery you need a dedicated on-site storage tank manufactured from approved materials. Using incorrect storage materials contaminates AdBlue and damages SCR catalysts.

Approved Storage Materials

Only store and handle AdBlue in HDPE (high-density polyethylene), polypropylene (PP), or 316L stainless steel. These materials are inert to AdBlue and will not introduce contaminants that damage SCR catalysts.

⚠️

Never Use These Materials

Never store AdBlue in carbon steel, aluminium, copper, brass, bronze, zinc, or galvanised tanks or fittings. These metals dissolve into the solution and irreversibly poison SCR catalysts — a very expensive repair.

🌡️

Temperature Requirements

Store at 0–30°C for maximum shelf life (12–18 months). AdBlue freezes at -11°C — tanks in cold environments require heating. Avoid prolonged storage above 35°C as elevated temperatures accelerate urea degradation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Bulk AdBlue — Common Questions

Answers to the most common questions from Australian businesses enquiring about bulk AdBlue tanker delivery.

What is the minimum order for bulk AdBlue delivery?

Bauly Chemicals supplies bulk AdBlue from approximately 3,000 litres upward. For direct tanker pump-off into on-site storage, typical orders start from 5,000 litres. Contact us to discuss your specific volume requirements and we will recommend the most cost-effective delivery format for your operation.

Do I need my own tank to receive bulk AdBlue?

Yes — bulk tanker delivery requires a dedicated on-site storage tank manufactured from HDPE, polypropylene, or 316L stainless steel. If you don’t yet have a tank, our team can advise on suitable tank sizes and suppliers. We can also supply AdBlue in 1000L IBCs or 205L drums as an interim solution.

Is Bauly Chemicals bulk AdBlue ISO 22241 certified?

Yes. All bulk AdBlue supplied by Bauly Chemicals is manufactured in VDA-licensed Australian factories and certified to ISO 22241, guaranteeing the precise 32.5% urea concentration required by all SCR-equipped diesel engines. A Certificate of Analysis is available on request with every delivery.

Can Bauly Chemicals deliver to remote mine sites?

Yes. Bauly Chemicals supplies bulk AdBlue to remote mining operations including the Pilbara region of Western Australia, Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and the Northern Territory. Contact us to discuss your site location, access requirements, and delivery scheduling for remote operations.

How long does bulk AdBlue last in storage?

When stored correctly in approved HDPE or stainless steel tanks at 0–30°C, bulk AdBlue has a shelf life of 12–18 months. Storage above 35°C accelerates degradation and reduces shelf life. Always keep the tank sealed when not filling to prevent evaporation and contamination.

Can I set up a scheduled bulk AdBlue delivery program?

Yes — Bauly Chemicals offers scheduled delivery programs for high-volume customers. We work with your team to establish a delivery frequency based on your consumption rate, ensuring your tank is replenished before it runs low. This eliminates supply risk and administration for your operations team.

About Bulk AdBlue Supply in Australia

Australia's Trusted Bulk AdBlue Supplier

Bulk AdBlue delivery is the most cost-effective and operationally efficient AdBlue supply method for Australian businesses consuming high volumes of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). As an ISO 22241-certified bulk AdBlue supplier, Bauly Chemicals delivers directly by road tanker to transport depots, mine sites, agricultural properties, construction sites, fuel retailers, and industrial facilities across all Australian states and territories.

Australia’s transport and logistics sector is one of the largest consumers of bulk AdBlue in the country. Modern Euro 5 and Euro 6 diesel prime movers, road trains, and B-doubles are required by Australian Design Rules (ADRs) to use AdBlue in their SCR systems to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. For transport companies running fleets of 20 or more vehicles, bulk tanker delivery is the clear operational and commercial choice — eliminating the cost, labour, and waste associated with IBC and drum supply.

In Australia’s mining sector — particularly across Western Australia’s Pilbara, Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and the Northern Territory — bulk AdBlue supply is a critical operational requirement. Haul trucks, excavators, loaders, and off-road machinery at modern mine sites run on Euro-stage-equivalent engines requiring continuous AdBlue supply. Bauly Chemicals understands the supply chain demands of remote mining operations and has the logistics capability to deliver reliably to challenging locations.

For Australian agricultural operations, bulk AdBlue supply enables farmers and agricultural contractors to stock up ahead of harvest season, ensuring continuous operation of modern tractors, harvesters, and spray equipment without supply interruptions during the most operationally critical periods of the year. Bauly Chemicals supplies farm delivery across WA, NSW, QLD, SA, and VIC, with flexible scheduling that accommodates seasonal demand patterns.

Bauly Chemicals’ bulk AdBlue is manufactured by VDA-licensed Australian factories under strict ISO 22241 quality control, guaranteeing the precise 32.5% urea concentration and high-purity deionised water formulation required to protect SCR catalysts and maintain engine manufacturer warranties. Using off-specification or substandard AdBlue risks SCR catalyst damage that can cost tens of thousands of dollars to repair. Every litre we supply is traceable by batch, with Certificates of Analysis available on request.

With annual supply capacity exceeding 60 million litres and strategic depots in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and Darwin, Bauly Chemicals maintains the infrastructure and stock to serve Australia’s most demanding bulk AdBlue customers without interruption. Whether you need a one-off tanker delivery or a long-term scheduled supply program, contact our team for a competitive, all-inclusive quote.
