About This Product
Flexible AdBlue Supply — No Infrastructure Required
The AdBlue 205L/210L drum is the ideal AdBlue supply format for Australian businesses and operators who need reliable, cost-effective AdBlue on-site without committing to a bulk storage tank. Unlike the 1000L IBC, a drum can be loaded onto a standard drum trolley and wheeled to any location in your workshop, depot, or yard — giving you maximum flexibility in how and where you dispense.
The drum format is particularly popular for small transport operators, agricultural contractors, service stations, workshops, and any operation that wants a self-contained, portable AdBlue supply that doesn’t require a forklift to handle. One drum per fortnight is sufficient for many small fleets and agricultural users.
All Bauly Chemicals AdBlue — including the 205L and 210L drum — is manufactured in Australia by VDA-licensed factories to ISO 22241 quality standard. The same rigorous quality control as our bulk and IBC products. Your SCR system is fully protected.

Dispensing Equipment
Pump Kits for Your AdBlue 205L / 210L Drum
A pump kit is required to safely dispense AdBlue from your drum. Bauly Chemicals supplies two drum-specific pump options, both manufactured from AdBlue-safe HDPE and stainless steel components.
240V Electric Drum Pump Kit
Mains-powered 240V electric pump designed specifically for 205L and 210L AdBlue drums. Fast, reliable dispensing with HDPE and stainless steel wetted components. Includes pump, hose, and nozzle. Ideal for transport depots, farms, and workshops with mains power access.
Rotary Hand Pump
Manual rotary hand pump for dispensing AdBlue from a 205L or 210L drum without mains power. Compact and portable — ideal for remote farms, construction sites, and field operations away from electrical infrastructure. All AdBlue-safe materials.
⚠️
Use Only AdBlue-Rated Pump Equipment
Never dispense AdBlue using pumps, hoses, or fittings made from carbon steel, copper, brass, zinc, or galvanised materials. These metals dissolve into AdBlue and irreversibly contaminate it, causing SCR catalyst damage that can cost thousands of dollars to repair. Only use equipment specifically rated for AdBlue, with HDPE and 316L stainless steel wetted components.

Who Uses AdBlue 205L / 210L Drum?
The Right Format for Flexible, Mobile AdBlue Supply
The 205L/210L drum is the preferred choice when mobility, simplicity, and lower upfront volume commitment matter more than lowest cost-per-litre. No forklift required — just a drum trolley.
Small Transport Fleets
Owner-operators and small fleets of 1–5 trucks. One or two drums per fortnight provides a practical, low-administration AdBlue supply without bulk tank infrastructure.
Mining & Exploration
Small mining contractors, exploration camps, and remote operations where drums can be transported to site by helicopter or light vehicle. Practical for low-volume remote supply.
Agriculture
Small to medium farms running tractors, sprayers, and harvesters. The drum format is easily transported between paddocks on a ute tray or trailer, making field AdBlue dispensing simple and practical.
Construction
Small construction sites and sole traders running one or two machines. Drums can be transported to any site on a ute or trailer, providing on-site AdBlue without fixed infrastructure.
Fuel Retailers
Service stations providing retail AdBlue to car and truck customers. Drums are easy to manage, store, and rotate — ideal for lower-volume retail AdBlue supply without a dedicated bowser.
Commercial Vehicles
Small bus and coach operators, courier businesses, and light commercial vehicle fleets. The drum provides a neat, compact depot storage solution for small fleets without the need for IBC pallets.
Rural & Remote Properties
Rural property owners running diesel generators, agricultural equipment, and 4WD vehicles requiring AdBlue. A single drum provides months of supply for light rural users.
Workshops & Dealerships
Truck and passenger car dealerships, mechanical workshops, and vehicle service centres. The drum fits neatly in a workshop and can be wheeled to any service bay for AdBlue top-ups.

Filling & Storage Guide
How to Fill, Handle, and Store AdBlue Drums Correctly
Follow these guidelines to protect your SCR system, maximise AdBlue shelf life, and use your drum safely.
Filling Your Vehicle
📍
Use the AdBlue Filler Cap Only
Your diesel vehicle has a separate, clearly labelled blue AdBlue filler cap — usually smaller than the diesel cap, located near the fuel filler or in the cabin. Always fill into the AdBlue tank only, never the diesel tank.
🚫
Never Put AdBlue in the Diesel Tank
AdBlue in the diesel tank will destroy the fuel system and injection components. If this happens accidentally, do not start the engine — tow the vehicle to a service agent immediately. This is a very expensive repair that is not covered by most warranties.
⚠️
Use a Drum Trolley for Safe Handling
A full 205L drum weighs approximately 225 kg. Always use a proper drum trolley to move it safely. Never attempt to tip or drag a full drum. Position the drum upright on the trolley and lock it securely before moving.
Storing Your IBC
🌡️
Store at 0°C to 30°C
Store drums in a cool, shaded location — indoors or under cover — away from direct sunlight. The ideal temperature range for maximum shelf life is 0–30°C. At these temperatures, AdBlue remains in full specification for 12–18 months.
❄️
Freezes at -11°C
AdBlue freezes at -11°C. In cold climates, store drums in a sheltered, frost-free area. Frozen AdBlue is not permanently damaged — it returns to full specification once thawed at room temperature. A frozen drum cannot be dispensed until fully thawed.
🔒
Always Keep the Drum Bung Sealed
Replace the drum bung firmly after each use. Leaving the drum open allows the water component of AdBlue to evaporate, raising the urea concentration above ISO 22241 limits. Contamination from dust, insects, or water can also degrade the product.

Frequently Asked Questions
AdBlue 205L / 210L Drum — Common Questions
Answers to the most common questions from Australian customers buying AdBlue in drum format.
What is the difference between AdBlue 205L and 210L?
The 205L and 210L are slight regional variations in drum size. In Melbourne (VIC), Bauly Chemicals supplies AdBlue in 205-litre drums. In all other Australian states and territories, the drum size is 210 litres. Both contain the same ISO 22241-certified, VDA-licensed Australian-made AdBlue at 32.5% urea concentration.
How many vehicle fills does a 205L drum of AdBlue provide?
A 205L drum provides approximately 5–7 full fills for a heavy prime mover (30–40L tank), 10–20 fills for a light commercial vehicle (10–20L tank), and 20–40 top-ups for a passenger car or SUV (5–10L tank). See our coverage guide above for a full breakdown by vehicle type.
Do I need a pump to use the 205L AdBlue drum?
Yes — a pump is required to dispense AdBlue from a drum. Bauly supplies a 240V electric drum pump kit for depot use and a rotary hand pump for off-grid or remote locations. Both use HDPE and stainless steel components that are safe for AdBlue. Never use standard metal pumps with brass or copper parts.
Can I put the drum on a trolley and wheel it around?
Yes — this is one of the key advantages of the drum format over an IBC. A standard drum trolley can be used to wheel the 205L or 210L drum to any location in your workshop, depot, or yard without needing to move your vehicles or machinery. This makes the drum format ideal for flexible, mobile dispensing.
Is Bauly Chemicals AdBlue 205L drum ISO 22241 certified?
Yes. All AdBlue supplied by Bauly Chemicals is manufactured in VDA-licensed Australian factories and certified to ISO 22241, guaranteeing the precise 32.5% urea concentration required to protect SCR catalysts and maintain engine warranties. A Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
How long does AdBlue last in a drum?
When stored correctly at 0–30°C in a cool, shaded location with the bung firmly sealed, AdBlue has a shelf life of 12–18 months. Direct sunlight or storage above 35°C will reduce shelf life. Always reseal the bung firmly after dispensing to prevent evaporation and contamination.
About AdBlue 205L/210L Drum Supply in Australia
Buy AdBlue 205L / 210L Drum — Australia-Wide Delivery
The AdBlue 205L/210L drum is the most flexible AdBlue supply format available in Australia. Unlike the 1000L IBC which requires a forklift to receive and move, a drum can be handled with a simple drum trolley — making it accessible to every business regardless of their material handling equipment. For small fleets, workshops, farms, and fuel retailers consuming between 200 and 2,000 litres of AdBlue per month, the drum format delivers excellent value with maximum operational flexibility.
Bauly Chemicals supplies ISO 22241-certified AdBlue in 205L drums (Melbourne) and 210L drums (all other states), manufactured by VDA-licensed Australian factories. The same quality-controlled, precisely formulated 32.5% urea solution as our bulk and IBC products — tested against all parameters of the ISO 22241 standard to protect your SCR catalysts and maintain engine warranty compliance.
For Australian vehicle workshops and truck dealerships, the drum format is the standard AdBlue supply for servicing. The drum sits neatly in a service bay corner on a trolley and can be wheeled to any vehicle lift or service station within the workshop. A single drum typically handles a week or more of AdBlue top-ups for a busy workshop servicing Euro 5 and Euro 6 diesel vehicles.
Agricultural operators across Australia — from WA wheat farmers to QLD cane growers — rely on the 205L drum format for its portability. Unlike an IBC that requires a forklift, a drum can be loaded onto a ute tray, farm trailer, or the back of a work vehicle and transported to wherever the machinery is working. This is particularly valuable during planting and harvest when tractors and harvesters are working across large areas away from the main farm shed.
For service stations and fuel retailers providing AdBlue to motorists and truck drivers, the drum is the most practical format without a dedicated AdBlue bowser. It can be stored in the workshop or behind the counter, dispensed with a hand pump or 240V electric pump kit, and rotated easily when a new drum arrives. Bauly Chemicals offers wholesale drum pricing for fuel retailers purchasing multiple drums per order.
Bauly Chemicals delivers AdBlue 205L and 210L drums to all Australian states and territories — VIC, NSW, QLD, WA, SA, NT, TAS, and ACT — with competitive delivery pricing for both metropolitan and regional locations. Depot pickup is available at all capital city depots for customers who prefer to collect. Contact us for a tailored quote based on your volume and location.
